Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store employing just 4 individuals. Total sales for that particular year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and different components. Through 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty workers and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is amongst the top global producers within the material handling trade.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business opportunities. Over the last sixty years, the material handling trade has grown into a very complex field and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this progress. During the nineteen fifties, Cascade started to make, design, and advertise its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was built in 1956, to be able to accommodate all the plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which remains to be the company's current center of operations. The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the United States with places in Springfield, Ohio, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are fabricated internationally due to numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is designed to be the essential customer service centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of five companies, including the international leader in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
